Family in Blue - Framed Textile Art Picture
Framed Family in Blue Textile Art Picture: I enjoyed making this picture and I think the family look so cheerful together all dressed in blue. Each of my unique textile pictures is individually designed and created, so no two pictures are ever the same. I love the simple effect, however it takes time to achieve! Using a mix of fabrics, linen, cotton and embroidery silk, I hand embroider the figures, machine sew the raw/frayed edge applique, adding any detail before stretching and lacing onto card prior to framing. Each textile picture is then individually framed in a light wood effect shabby chic frame, ready to hang.
