A Chinese blue and white circular cosmetic box decorated with chrysanthemum and peony , Qianlong mark, nineteenth century, of typical form with a shallow saucer dish form base and a similar cover, decorated in a delicate underglaze blue with stylised scrolling peony and chrysanthemum, the base with a six character seal mark for the Qianlong period (1736-1795); nineteenth century circa 1880.
