Our "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" teaching guide builds on children's fascination with what is in garbage and explores the concept of reducing, reusing, and recycling. While exploring trash and garbage, a preschool classroom might build a junk collection. If the collection contains items with environmental print (like boxes, bags, and bottles with labels) these can be good tools for promoting literacy development.
