"I love surfing, but live in the UK, so I get to see beaches on cold wet miserable days that aren’t the usual beach-going weather. But I love the atmosphere of a grey day on the beach, and of course it doesn’t affect the waves!" - James (Bracklesham Bay, Sussex, UK)

Saint-Jean-de-Luz, France SURF COMPETITION, SEPTEMBER 2011 A short drive from the somewhat more crowded beaches and pinxto stands of San Sebastian, Spain, the twin towns of St Jean de Luz and Biarritz in France are worth the drive (and the $20 Euros in highway tolls!). The water is too rough for children, but it was a much better beach for sunning and reading. And watching the surfers is always a treat. Go.
