Shell Oil spill in the Delta region of Nigeria. The local tribe, the Ijaw, complain of loosing their fishing as a result as well as having their water source poisoned. They also recieve no compensation from Shell's poor pipeline maintenance.
Pamukkale, meaning “cotton castle” in Turkish, is a natural site in Denizli Province in southwestern Turkey. The city contains hot springs and travertines, terraces of carbonate minerals left by the flowing water.
