The base of a wreath can be made using various materials such as foam, wire, or even a thick cardboard sheet. Use the following steps to make a basic wreath base using wire:
1. Take a 12-inch long wire and shape it into a circle.
2. Twist the ends together to secure the shape.
3. Cut smaller wires and wrap them around the main wire to form an evenly spaced frame.
4. Secure the ends of these small wires with masking tape.
