Here's a little secret we want to share with you. Volvo as a whole is a cool brand, but we don't love the V60, which is strange considering most car journalists slobber over anything shaped like a wagon.

The single-motor 2024 Polestar 2 has 320 miles of EPA range thanks to a larger battery pack, and the motor is now on the rear axle instead of the front. Better still, it makes 295 horsepower – up from 228 – so the Polestar is surprisingly fun to drive around town, with none of the power-on understeer of its front-drive predecessor. -Brett T.
