22nd August and today's tiara is the Aquamarine Pinecone Tiara currently worn by Princess Anne. The tiara was originally a wedding anniversary gift to the Queen Mother, and there is one photo of her wearing it shortly before the death of King George VI. The tiara passed to Princess Anne, who at some point chose to streamline the tiara removing the large floral element and changing it into a brooch.

Anne also loaned the meander tiara to her daughter, Zara Phillips, when she wed Mike Tindall on 30 July 2011.
