I spent a lot of time doing squats, especially deep squats, when I was pregnant with my first, and although I think a lot contributed to my relatively quick labor (8 hrs…), squatting was definitely one of those things that helped.   Deep squatting can help get baby into an optimal position for birth, and also loosen your pelvic floor muscles which is necessary for baby to make their entrance.
