Minor threat

The iconic and often-imitated cover of Minor Threat’s 1st 7″ EP (1981, often referred to as the Filler EP) was also re-purposed in a variety of colors for their later compilations, First 2 7″s (1984, often referred to simply as Minor Threat) and Complete Discography (1990).

Minor Threat played one of its last shows at Washington DC's 930 Club in June of 1983; they would only play once more in DC. Two years later, the tapes from the 930 show were edited together and Dischord Records released them as the Minor Threat Live.

Upon further research I realized that before the Dischord house had the dark red color it does today, it was a light blue-ish color. So of course I had to do another classic photo in front of the Dischord HQ to correct my mistake from an earlier colorization. I also read somewhere that Ian's Vans were red, so here they are, for historical accuracy! original photo by Glen E. Friedman, of course. #minorthreat #dischordhouse
