I shouldn't justify the challenge because it was truly horrible, but it represented Keane's anger after Haaland had slated him for allegedly faking an injury in a game against Leeds 4 years prior, something of course that Roy Keane didn't condone. That venomous challenge of course ended Haaland's career but also relieved Keano of his bottled up anger.
