a happy birthday card sitting on top of a wooden table next to a piece of wood

Raise your hand if you are completely in awe of Kristie Marcotte and her ability to power through entire 6x6 paper pads...yeah me too! For my SumMore Fun blog post today I decided to embrace that challenge for myself! It wasn't easy and took me three days off and on to finish the paper pad, but I ended up with these 32 cards. I used the My Mind's Eye My Favorite Things 6x6 paper pad. I have had it floating around in my craft room for quite some time. I picked it because it had both masculine…

a pile of cards sitting on top of a table next to each other with the words happy birthday written on them

I've got many 6x6 pads that are halfway gone. I use some of the papers, then get tired of them and switch to another set of papers. The problem? I rarely get back to that half-used pad of paper. So, I'm trying to learn a new habit and use up an entire 6x6 pad. I've been stalking OWH bloggers who do this successfully, like Airborne Wife and Kristie who made the 6x6 pad tutorial, so I can pick up their techniques. An important point for me is to buy 6x6 pads with patterns and solid papers…

some cards are stacked on top of each other and have different colors, patterns and designs

During a recent visit to Michael's I found a 6x6 pad of paper from American Crafts and over the weekend, I managed to use the entire pad. I made over 30 cards from the pad. Here's a photo of the pad. 24 sheets of 6x6 papers. This is just some of the cards I was able to make from the papers. I was inspired by a layout that Michelle Wooderson used in a recent post of her blog Mish Mash I started by cutting all my papers into 4x6 pieces and then cut the 4x6 pieces into 4x4, 4x3/4 and 4x1 1/4. I…

a bunch of yellow and white cards with different designs on the front, one is for each

Well, another paper pad is dust! This time it's a My Mind's Eye paper pad called Breeze. I have lots of this same paper pad. A while back I made a whole bunch of cards from one of these pads and I liked them so much I bought a whole bunch more. There are several cards that have no sentiment on them.. that is because the stamp set hasn't arrived to me yet. I bought a set from a lady off of SCS by Stamps of Life that is called Phrases2Say. I will need to cut the white/black layers for those…

a bunch of cards that are sitting on a table

Hello friends! I was so excited when Michelle from Pink & Main asked me to do one of my 6x6 videos using one of their paper collections. I decided to use their Sunset collection which is one of their newer 6x6 releases. I just love the mix of polka dot and plaid designs and the beautiful

the instructions for how to make a floor plan in adobe and pst formats

I did research a while ago for One Sheet Wonder plans. For me I had hoped to find the cutting plan and the card layouts to go with it. There were a few who included both pieces. I was working on Christmas cards so repetition was okay with me. My kits are 12 cards so I wanted a cutting plan that produced 3 cards per 6 x 6 sheet. Here's my inspiration posted by Sharon. I believe the card layouts are very versatile because the cards can be assembled wide or tall. The designer paper is double…

the cards have been placed on top of each other and are ready to be used

Not too long ago there was a post on the Operation Write Home site about using a 6 x 6 paper pad to make a bunch of cards. I wanted to see how many cards I could get out of a 6 x 6 paper pad. I used My Mind's Eye Breeze and ended using everything in the pad less a small bit that is shown in the last image. I ended up with 69 cards.. I bet I have enough scraps to make at least 2-4 more cards. Measurements for the cards: top left and top right use the same size pattern paper, the banner strip…
