All of the hand gestures in Bharata Natyam are set and have their own individual and unique meanings. There is a very specific way to execute each gesture.

🛕The Indian classical dance Bharatanatyam is regarded as the mother of many other Indian classical dance forms. A solo dance performed only by women originated in the temples of Tamil Nadu and eventually spread across South India. 💃 Dancer's repertoire includes Nrita, Nritya, and Natya, illustrating religious themes and spiritual ideas through facial expressions, excellent footwork, and mesmerizing gestures.
