1960s nightwear

Is there anything dreamier than 1960s sleepwear? The pastel colours and babydoll designs are enough to keep you dreaming all night long! With the invention of polyamide in 1958, it made it possible to produce cheaper nightgowns, giving way to more “fluffy” designs. Since polyamide was cheaper women could buy a variety of different types of sleepwear with matching robes to keep on rotation. It was also a lot less high maintenance (you didn’t have to iron it!). Three quarter sleeves have elastic casings at lower edges. The short gown, view 2, is gathered at neck and sleeve edges. Bias binding trims edges. Lace and ribbon bow trim is optional.
