Mixed Media Self Portrait. These were awesome. Little kids did the backgrounds, came up with words that described them and added it on top on canvas boards. Big wow factor for the parents. What an awesome idea!!

Put masking tape on canvas in the design of your choice, spray paint a base color over the tape, use different acrylic colors (like $1.50 or less for a tube at Michael's or Hobby Lobby) and paint different strokes all over canvas. Wait till it dries, then remove tape and...wa la!
