Original pinner wrote, "In 2009 I was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos III (a hypermobility syndrome). My ligaments were super stretchy and didn't do their job so my joints were putting me in pain. I was told there was no cure but that the treatment was to lose body fat to take strain off my joints and also to build muscle to support what my ligaments can't. I've had ups and downs, and I'm not finished yet but, three years later, I'm almost entirely pain free and SO MUCH happier for it!!"
