A perfect example of good architecture not in a building:: Zaha Hadid Designs a Superyacht for shipbuilding company Blohm+Voss, reaching 128 meters in length, and a supporting structure resembling the organic ecosystem below. The form appears dynamic, resembling the flow of water. Paired with the clear, clean, and white coated aesthetics, this yacht fits right in with the water in which it glides across.
RIP 3/31/16 Zaha Hadid, Iraqi-British architect was the first woman to awarded the Pritzker Architecture Prize. She twice won the UK’s most prestigious architecture award, the RIBA Stirling Prize.. Her recognition sounded throughout the art world and also in fashion, influencing designers like Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld, who once called her the “Coco Chanel of today.”
The ambitious designs created by the architectural firm, Zaha Hadid, for the Changsha Meixihu International Culture & Art Centre in China have been revealed and they are quite impressive. The three buildings, a Grand Theatre, a Contemporary Art Museum, and a Multipurpose Hall, will each offer various creative activities and different experiences. The facilities are intended to offer both indoor and outdoor exhibitions, with additional amenities such as bars and restaurants for visitors.
