Had when i worked in a preschool and kids love them! I would use colored sand instead of white salt. DIY salt tray with alphabet cards. Easy to make and kids have fun smoothing out the salt after correctly making the letter
Letter Search- For this activity I had this foam alphabet puzzle that I got for 88 cents at Walmart:) and a dish of rice. I popped out all the letters and mixed them in with the rice. Students search for letters to match to the same in puzzle.
Write letters on bottlecaps and put in water table or bucket. Have children scoop out the letters they need for their names, book characters, colours, numbers etc. Great for motor skill development, letter awareness and fun!
Spelling Center Activities: Sight word shells are a fun way for students to practice writing sight words, as well as forming letters properly. Students are to write the sight word printed on each shell in the sand using their finger.
