What a FUN way to get students involved in processing contributions of key historical figures in history class! It works great in interactive notebooks or any other class format! In this history investigation students research and write a brief historical biography about 5 historical figures.
Teaching History by making it fun! This book helps teachers to create activities that are fun and will help their students remember the facts learned. I would use it to help teach the kids fun colonial games.
European Vacation Project is a fun way for World History students to sum up their European history by traveling to Europe! This is a wonderful project to end of the year in World History class - one of my favorites! Students research a summer trip to Europe and present their fun to the class. You will need online access to computers, iPads etc. Students can use PowerPoint, Google slide or any other slide show app. Rubric and Warm-up questions included.
Resource: Stanford History Education Group. This is a website with lessons aimed at teaching middle school-aged students and above to "read like a historian;" the lessons require a high level of English language proficiency but could possibly be adapted for students who are at lower levels.
