DIY Workbench. I like the bottom shelf only being half-depth, so you can stand close to the worktop. Maybe for the kitchen island?

I've been looking at a lot of similar workbenches for a while, trying to find the right set up that would best utilize my woodworking tools and the space I have. DIY Tip of the Day: Storing bench-top tools. Workbench cluttered with bench-top tools? Lag-screw each tool to a 3/4-in. base. Saw a 40-degree angle on one edge of a 1 x 3 and cut it into cleats. Screw two cleats to each base with the angle facing inward. Fasten a board with a 40-degree edge to the studs. Hang the tools from either end of the base. Hang only lighter-weight bench-top tools.
