Woolacombe Beach, Woolacombe, Devon. An epic, three-mile swathe of sand, which has cliffs at each end, rock pools, consistent surf and a buzzing little town. Water quality is excellent. Access to the beach is good, although Woolacombe village is invariably busy in the summer and the roads to and from it are seriously steep if you're cycling.

Lee Bay or just Lee is a small village on the North Devon coast near Woolacombe. Lee is situated on the rugged and inhospitable stretch of coast between Ilfracombe and Woolacombe, which includes Bull Point (with its lighthouse) and Morte Point, both notorious for shipwrecks in earlier times, and both on the South West Coast Path.
