How to Make Whole Wheat Pie Crust. So simple and fantastic for savory dinner turnovers! Used white winter wheat. Replaced half of the water with OJ to lighten wheat taste (it doesn't make it taste like OJ). Kids didn't notice it was whole wheat!
Made this crust for the onion pie I uploaded. Works great and made enough for 2 pie shells and had extra. Can go over the pie plate easily for making a nice scalloped edge or for less crust use a fork to fit crust in plate as I did.
Whole Wheat Pie Crust - I did everything the same, just used white and whole wheat flour. Plus I subbed 1 TB of milk for 1 TB of white vinegar. And I added one small egg. It was awesome! Best pie crust I've made.
