My $15 thrift store pine coffee table, chalk painted and lightly glazed. For the top, I first tried to stain it using a vinegar/steel wool stain, but it came out blotchy and not to my liking. So I changed course and dry brushed several layers of thinned off white chalk paint. Glazed it again lightly, then applied two coats of water based poly finish. Now it looks a lot like driftwood.
