Every month the Moon will go through a cycle. When the Moon is new, this is a time for starting new projects and making plans. When the Moon is waxing (coming into being full) we ask for good and positives things to come into our lives. When the Moon is Full we look into ourselves and emotions are high, we use the Full Moon energy to recharge ourselves, it is a time of spiritual cleansing. When the Moon is waning (going away after a full moon), we expel bad and negativity from our lives.
TONIGHT......Supermoon is a spectacular sight! The upcoming supermoon - on Monday, Nov. 14 - will be especially "super" because it's the closest full moon to Earth since 1948. We won't see another supermoon like this until 2034. The moon's orbit around Earth is slightly elliptical so sometimes it is closer and sometimes it's farther away. When the moon is full as it makes its closest pass to Earth it is known as a supermoon. At perigree - the point at which the moon is closest to Earth.
I love the PA nights when the full moon smiles through the rain clouds. It always looks its best in May, around the 25th... It just doesn't look the same in SC. When you're alone, lonely and feeling the loss of those you love and loved... Nothing like the sound of the rain on the roof. Liquid music to wash away the blues...
Magickal Moonie's Sanctuary The Full Moon Full Moon is when the moon has reached its zenith, it forms a perfect silvery sphere in the sky. This is a time for spells that transform, increase psychic ability, for fertility spells and invocation to lunar goddesses.
When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? – Psalm 8:3-4
