This has been hammered into my head ever since last semester! As an English teacher, we're held responsible for the teaching of Literacy. However, it is EVERY teacher's job to promote Literacy, not just ours! Every teacher, no matter what their content area is, should be integrating Literacy into their lessons! Literacy is also a BIG part of the Common Core Standards.
