Batter / mixing bowl in Periwinkle blue w. Sky blue dots and stripes, Handmade Victorian modern

This luscious-lipped, spouted batter bowl features Victorian modern elegance for beautiful function. I glazed this bowl in a glossy periwinkle blue with light blue polka dots sprinkled here and there, and stripes under the handle and wrapping around one side of the rim making it both classy and playful. Use it as a mixing bowl for your Sunday morning pancake batter, to display fruit, or to serve your favorite side bringing some luxury to your every day or special event. I throw this spouted bowl on the potter’s wheel, trim the foot and alter the rim, giving it some undulation. I also decorate the surface with sponged and trailed slip (the clay version of cake-decorating), which gives the surface the swirls and dots of subtle texture and relief patterns. The handbuilt handle is very sturdy, perfect for grabbing. Dimensions: 5" h x 7 1/2" l x 7" w My work is both elegant AND intended for your use and enjoyment. Handmade pottery can need (and happily, deserves) a little more love to prolong its life than contemporary manufactured ware. While durable and microwavable, hand washing is recommended. The clay and glazes are lead-free and food safe. See more of my serving pieces including bowls, plates, and serving pieces in the other sections of my shop here:
