1865-1866 Decanter by William Burgess at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London - Burgess designed several decanters similar to this one. These included two for use in his own home, Tower House in Kensington, London, as shown in contemporary photographs. Burges looked to the arts of China, Assyria, ancient Greece and Rome, and medieval Europe as inspiration for this design."
VICTORIAN DECANTER WHITEFRIARS (?). I love the double rings on the neck which are tooled as well. I think it might be a design by Harry Powell. I'm open to suggestions. The firm of James Powell and Sons, also known as Whitefriars Glass, were English glassmakers, leadlighters and stained glass window manufacturers.
