Sturmey-Archer Dynohub generator in the front wheel works, but the lights do not. Paint on fenders has been touched up some time in the past. New 26 x 1 3/8 tires and tubes, new hand grips, new cables and Kool Stop brake pads, new Sturmey-Archer thumb shifter. Enclosed chaincase, blackout heron chainring. Bottom bracket oil port.
I am absolutely smitten with this display idea! How AMAZING would this bicycle wheel and clothespin installation be with home made soaps, gift cards for etsy and online stores, jewelry, and handmade papers at a local craft sale- or as a photo prop for marketing images? oh dear, I may have to find storage for extra bicycle wheels soon. ;)
I bought a bike from a garage sale for $10 and used the front wheel for the bird feeder. 8 bolts and some scrap wood later it was finished. It stood empty for a few days until the birds found it. I used finch feed. It is quite hysterical to watch the birds when they start spinning on it. Sometimes they end up sideways trying to balance....
