The ever-dashing Hugh O'Brian, who played the famous '50s TV role of Wyatt Earp (in the 1955-1961 ABC western television series, The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp), turned 90 on 4-19-2015. Mr. O'Brian was in many other TV shows as well as in films throughout his more than 50 years in the acting profession.
Johnny Yuma (Nick Adams) The Rebel was a 30 minute action series on ABC about an ex-confederate soldier who wandered the old west after the end of the Civil War. He was tough in a day when one had to be tough. He also helped people who were being endangered by carpetbaggers, gunslingers, etc. The theme song was good.
This is a great Western tv show. It follows the story of a trail boss, Gil Favor, and his men during their adventures herding cattle across the wilderness. Also starring a young Clint Eastwood as Rowdy Yates, this show had a plethora of amusing and cool characters: Rawhide
