The Tsar Nicholas II's ignorance led to 'Bloody Sunday'. The events of bloody Sunday resulted in resentment for the Tsarist government, the articulation of revolutionary ideas, and the influence of leadership on revolutionary movements.

The "Twins": Nicholas II of Russia (left) and his look alike first cousin George V of England. The two men were the sons of Danish royal sisters Alexandra and Dagmar. Dagmar, wife of Alexander III of Russia and mother of Nicholas II, had the happier marriage but lost almost her entire family to the Bolshevik Revolution.
