The tropical rainforest biome is mainly found in three major geographic areas around the world. Central America- Amazon river basin Africa- Zaire basin, with a small area in West Africa; also eastern Madagascar Indo-Malaysia- west coast of India, Assam, Southeast Asia, New Guinea and Queensland, Australia
The Daintree, Queensland, Australia-This is a tropical rain forest region, occupying 12,000 square kilometers and growing right to the edge of the sea. It Includes a national park, as well as some privately owned lands. It is the home for more than 90% of Australia’s bat and butterfly species, next to 12,000 species of insects.
Las Pozas ("the Pools") is a sculpture garden built by Edward James more than 2,000 feet (610 m) above sea level, in a tropical rain forest in the mountains of Mexico.
