It is the nature of the senses under the influence of Maya to turn outwards...the deluded ego drives the mind to run after things which gives it 'bliss' even though short-lived & evanescent, and for which the soul keeps paying a high price, in terms of stress, more desires and loss of peace of mind, even putting his/her life, reputation & honor at stake.

I have only been meditating for a little over a year. It has dramatically changed how I feel and live. I am often more connected to my innermost self, I am a lot more peaceful and much less reactionary and fearful. As someone who had anxiety and panic attacks for decades, this to me is nothing short of a miracle. And I can see now that the universe is benevolent. Something I never even imagined before. I only wish someone told me about this years ago.

N.E.R.D Nobody ever really dies We enter this life to remember the skills we had to learn from the last. We all have the power of choice. The choice to be happy, and spread love starts within yourself.

Vedanta represents the philosophical portion of the ancient scriptures of India, the Vedas. Specifically, it refers to the final portion of the Vedic literature, the Upanishads, it also includes the Bhagavad Gita, the great epics of India, as well as the Puranas, as well as many other texts, hymns, and writings. The basic teaching concerns the ultimate identity of the individual soul with the Supreme Soul.
