This was the first Dave Clark hit I remember and may have been their first. Truth be told, I liked the DC5 better then the Beatles, never mind Lennon and McCarthy were superior song writers. I think it was Denny Payton's sax and Mike Smith's organ and gravelly vocals I liked. That gave the band a more R & B feel.

The Dave Clark Five, an English pop rock group that were competing with the Beatles in 1960s. This image is very interesting because it shows the style of the band as well as the style of the poster during that period of time.

The Dave Clark Five. One of the first London Bands to hit the big time. They were from Tottenham and had us all stomping to Glad All over.
