'Temple of the Dog' was formed in Seattle in 1990 and conceived by vocalist Chris Cornell of 'Soundgarden' as a tribute to his friend, the late Andrew Wood, lead singer of Malfunkshun and Mother Love Bone. The line-up included former 'Pearl Jam' members with Eddie Vedder & Chris Cornell providing lead and backing vocals. The band released its only album, the self-titled Temple of the Dog, in April 1991.
Temple Of The Dog - Hunger Strike Here is the original track that I am still in love with. Everyone was so young and early in their career, amazing passion in their music. Cornell and Vedder, cant go wrong. Vedder wasnt a part of the band until Vedder sang this during a casual session. I dont think he was an actual member of TOD during this video? Chris was a huge loss. Much more talented, better family man than few realized. See the other vids with his kids on stage. RIP Chris.
