Alex John Milner - My name is Alexander Milner and I am a Sports Studies student at the University of Bedfordshire. I have always been interested in Sports as it is what has been an important part of my life. Currently, I am a member and player for the Great Britain Deaf Basketball team. The reason for joining Biggest Scale Loser is to consistently improve my fitness towards my participation at the impending World Deaf Basketball championship in September.

Great Britain and the USA will go head-to-head later this year when they meet at the Manchester Arena in July – the first time the USA Basketball women’s team will have competed on British soil. Welcome Olympic Gold Medalist and three-time WNBA Champion Swin Cash from the USA, and our very own Jo Leedham, the star forward who averaged 12 points per game in last year’s EuroBasket.

A 1992 graduate of Central Connecticut State University, DOUGLAS LEICHNER  was a four-year letterman, three-year starter and served as captain as a senior. Leichner received his Bachelor of Science degree from Central Connecticut and in 1985 earned his master’s in history from Western Connecticut. Formerly the University of Maine men’s basketball associate head coach, Leichner was named the head coach of the Great Britain Under-20 men’s national team in 2013.
