Love this idea! Synonym Garden - paint chips/boring words/thesaurus. Boring word goes on palest color, more interesting words go on vibrant color. Make a bulletin board out of all the words to be used throughout year when writing/speaking.
Assignment was to write the main/boring/overused word in the middle of the roll. Then, along the spirally goodness write words with similar meanings.
