The people of the kamirong began as small semi-nomadic communities, traveling safe routes through the woods by day and finding natural clearings or witch-light safe areas to ward off the demons in dark, but none were safe from the Grimmorai until the first kamirong and first Sheut sacrificed themselves to cage the monsters. With the discovery of the kamirong, the people were able to settle in large farmsteads with many families in one region, each functioning as its own barony.
