I like this picture because it shows all of the Commedia Del' arte characters wearing their masks and their personalities. I think this picture does a good job at capturing how each and every stock characters acts and their personality. The cool is used to show their mood and their facial features whether if they are a kind person or a smart or mean.
<3 this Song.... David Bowie, Ashes to Ashes (1980). Pierrot is a stock character of pantomime and Commedia dell'Arte whose origins are in the late 17th-century Italian troupe of players performing in Paris and known as the Comédie-Italienne; the name is a hypocorism of Pierre (Peter), via the suffix -ot.
A common activity in Spanish class is for students to create a family tree or presentation. A great way to get them started is with a family map. Using stock characters as a before activity, students can fill out this character map to get in the habit of using the vocabulary of family members, descriptions, likes, dislikes, age, and gender.
