Stones Reef and Godrevy Lighthouse, St Ives Bay, Cornwall. The reef extends from the headland at top of St Ives Bay so you can imagine what happened to shipping before the lighthouse was built. It's no coincidence there are two beaches nearby called "Deadman's Cove" and one called "Hell's Mouth".
St Ives is a captivating Cornish town built around a small crescent. Colourful fishing boats bob in the bay and fishermen unload their catches onto the quay.
