Modernized Georgian, Before & After: The red brick was hard and lifeless before. A limewash (a mixture of slaked lime and water that, as it dries, reacts with carbon dioxide in the air, carbonating and creating a tough “rock” like coating) was used to soften the harsh brick color. The shutters and trim are painted in Pratt & Lambert's Lambswool. This new creamy color scheme makes the home's original (and much envied) Buckingham gray slate roof stand out. - Southern Living, March 2013
Fireplace is pretty awesome but would be even nicer if it were an outdoor oven and a fireplace, and instead of the rattan chairs and the pool, be concrete benches to divide the area and allow for seating or a place to sit planters on.
