Located next to Little Rhein, Fig Tree shares the title of “Most Historic Restaurant in San Antonio” with its culinary neighbor. Operating out of a house built in 1853, in the city’s La Villita district, the restaurant showcases classic American fare, such as roasted Texas Hill Country quail and Gulf Coast lump crab cakes.
We made sure to hit every spot on and around the Riverwalk, San Antonio. On the Riverwalk we stayed at the Hotel Contessa with outside dining for breakfast and dinner. We LOVED that hotel and will hopefully get the chance to stay again their in November for BOA and State Band competitions.
Hotel Contessa - Riverwalk Luxury Suites, San Antonio--a six year old Mediterranian (sp?)-style hotel right on the River Walk. Extra large marble bathrooms and suites for less than the other two hotel rooms I was considering. Already booked for Sept. 3 through 6. Stalkers welcome. (lol)
