roots. The most significant miniseries of all time in the 80s. Kunta Kinte was Alex Haily's ancestor who came over on the slave ship. Everyone watched this horrific story of slavery and the abuse of a race of people. This is where the white guilt of the country set in. I didn't get to watch the early episodes but what I watched, was mesmerizing.
