Romanesque limestone depiction of Christ. This masterpiece was created during the Romanesque art period and shows Jesus holding a lamb in his arms to show that he cares for us, just like the lamb as we are the sheep and he is our Shepard.
Romanesque style - is marked by great variation in decoration. The carvings are very geometric and appear above the portal (archway) into a cathedral. Note the columns are slender with a smallish capital. The capital does have some carving at the top that is very detailed.
