It was a great idea in 1996 and still is today. In 1996, Barcelona architects Eva Prats and Ricardo Flores built their wonderful House in a Suitcase, in a 293 sq ft apartment. Two large built-ins (referred to as "pieces of luggage") contain everything you need to live and are opened / closed thru the day as needs dictate. Another innovation - the built-ins occupy the middle of the space instead of lining up along the walls. Meant for short stays but a lot of marvelous small space ideas.
