The Newport Tower is a round stone tower located in Newport, Rhode Island. No one knows who built the 28-foot tower and no one knows why. But nearly everyone knows the legends: Its eight pillars and fieldstone cylinder are the work of far-roaming Vikings, or Chinese explorers, or Portuguese noblemen, or Knights Templar from medieval Scotland.

Newport RI Bellevue Ave Mansions----very fun day activity---make sure you do NOT miss the breakers mansion, and I personally think the marble mansion was the 2nd best. there's lots to choose from and all beautiful, but nothing comes close to the breakers. amazing history also.
