These are great for independent reading. It helps remind students of their roles in the reciprocal teaching process. Reciprocal teaching refers to an instructional activity in which students become the teacher in small group reading sessions. Teachers model, then help students learn to guide group discussions using four strategies: summarising, question generating, clarifying, and predicting.


Guided reading strategy called "Say Something" allows teachers to see how students are thinking about their texts. Additionally, it provides students w/a tool to help them express their ideas about reading in meaningful ways.
