Shevid Baghali Polow, from NYT Jewish Cookbook: Boil 10 cups water with 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp turmeric. Add 2 1/2 c basmati rice and boil 10 min; drain. In large pot, place 5 tbsp oil with 1/2 tsp turmeric. Place a layer of rice, then layer of lima beans (total 20 oz) & dill (1 bunch). Sprinkle with 1/2 tsp cardamom and repeat all layers.  Cook on med heat, with a kitchen towel between pot and lid.  After about 15 min, reduce heat to low and continue to cook for 1 hour.
