If you have your students keep Data Notebooks, this is a must have! It is a simple sheet for students to record their growth as a reader from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. There is a place for them to put their Fluency level and a place for them to record their Reading (Running Record) benchmark Level. No matter what assessment tool your school/district is using, this will work for you. Enjoy!
Free RTI site. You can sign up and enter in your students' scores and have access to free CBM's. There are also graphs, etc. There are CBM's for math, fluency, and reading comprehension. Might want to test this out next year!

Novels to Know: Middle School Edition - As part of our preparation for Common Core standards our district asked the librarians to put together a list of noteworthy novels that would help meet the higher standards for text complexity and reading level.
