The Children's Digital Library- this is an awesome site for young readers, ages preK-5. There are interactive stories, online games, related projects and additional reading lists for all their themes. This is a definite site to check out!!
Storyline Online is a great, free website where famous people do read-alouds! I have used this to "tame the chaos" at the end of the school day. Kids love listening to the stories, and it gives the teacher time to get all of that "end of the day" stuff done!
