Artist apartments. Ralph Ellison, 1986 Ellison at 730 Riverside Drive, where he lived until his death, in 1994. He left behind thousands of pages of writing, some of which were posthumously collected and published as Juneteenth.

"After 'Invisible Man' by Ralph Ellison, the Prologue" 1999-2000. When I saw this photograph during lecture it really popped out at me. I feel like its different than anything I have seen before. I completely understand the meaning of the all the lights and the man sitting in the room trying to be seen.
